Thought Bubbles – Episode 37 – Is Community Engagement soft and fluffy?

In this episode I share a conversation I had with a friend who works in the finance sector. His views on community engagement are the complete opposite of mine, telling me he thinks community engagement is a waste of time and tax payers money. I shared this in the Engage 2 Act Facebook group and much discussion was had. Here I share some of my thoughts on comments made, and question whether as a sector we need to become more measured, tangible and able to articulate the difference we make?

COVID-19 PANDEMIC - CHANGES TO ENGAGEMENT PRACTICE - In line with physical distancing requirements in Australia, Becky Hirst Consulting has withdrawn all face-to-face engagement services for the foreseeable future. However, we are still actively engaged with clients and communities through delivering training videos, virtual presentations and workshops, online mentoring and discussion forums, and video conferencing as well as use of traditional print/written engagement tools. Our other services of organisational planning and Engagement Health Checks continues as normal. We are still very much available for our clients. Stay safe, stay connected!
