Becky Hirst Consulting, in collaboration with Matthew Crozier of Bang the Table, was enlisted to provide expert external advice to identify and recommend appropriate ways forward for how the organisation might use social media to engage with the community.
The work included background research including initial discussions with staff from the Canberra office, liaison and interviews with key stakeholders via telephone and in person in Sydney. Our initial discussions included community engagement needs, social media options, risk management, and implementation.
We went on to identify options for online community engagement, including use of social media. We prepared a thorough report which included a series of key recommendations for the most appropriate use of these tools.
