A Charter Summit for Children & Young People

In 2019, the Child Development Council invited 147 children and young people (5-18 years) to attend a summit at the Adelaide Zoo to identify what matters to them in terms of health, safety, wellbeing, education and citizenship and to say what having a good life is all about.

Their opinions and advice informed the writing of the Charter for Children and Young People.

Engagement techniques included group discussion, crafts, and using 3 resident artists to capture what the children and young people were saying.
